Programme overview
Our 2026 Summer Internship Programme runs for 10 weeks, starting on Monday 15 June and finishing on Friday 21st August 2026. This internship is designed to give you a unique introduction to the Asset Management industry and offers valuable insight into how your chosen department operates within Schroders.
Throughout the programme you will:
Take part in comprehensive introductory training to build your understanding of the business
Be assigned to a team where you will contribute to live projects and gain meaningful hands-on experience
Shadow experienced professionals and learn directly from leaders in the field
Have opportunities to network with colleagues and other interns, helping you build connections for your future career
This internship provides practical experience, skill development, and a strong foundation for those interested in pursuing a career in the Wealth Management sector.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for interns who are passionate about Wealth Management, resilient in a dynamic environment, and eager to build lasting relationships with clients from all walks of life. You will excel if you are analytical, proactive, and truly client-focused, with the curiosity to keep learning and the confidence to communicate with integrity and empathy. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, be interested in world events and markets, and have a strong desire to solve problems, innovate, and help clients reach their financial goals
Required skills and capabilities
Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to analyse complex data using critical thinking, identify errors and draw meaningful insights.
Broad awareness of world events, enabling you to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and articulate your reasoning.
Proactive, eager to learn and adapt, with a positive mindset and commitment to self-development and learning.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to adapt your style for different audiences and comfortable speaking to clients in person or over the phone.
Analytical thinker who can understand client issues, adapt quickly, and use available tools and knowledge to develop practical and effective solutions.
Empathetic and a strong listener, able to work well within teams, build rapport easily, and foster teamwork and trust.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications we’re looking for
A masters degree or equivalent – we’re not fussed when it comes to your degree subject or predicted grade, however a STEM or Finance related degree would be beneficial
You will be in your penultimate year of study. Unfortunately we no longer accept applications from final year students considering further studies (i.e Masters) upon completion of undergraduate course
A good working knowledge of document production software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
